Chocolate Covered Berry Smoothie

Chocolate and berries are a match made in heaven. I actually love snacking on chocolate and berries together for a healthy dessert- the inspiration for this healthful smoothie.

This smoothie is a powerhouse of superfoods! Berries are packed with Vitamin C, anti-aging antioxidants and fiber! I also used cacao powder for this recipe which has been shown to decrease inflammation, reduce blood pressure and improve blood flow to your brain! This smoothie is packed with healthy fats, protein, fiber and complex carbohydrates (the good kind) to help keep you full, satiated and energized!

Serves 1

Ingredients:

8 oz plant based milk
1 scoop vanilla plant based protein powder (I used this one here)
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp hemp seeds
1 tsp ground flaxseeds
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup frozen raspberries
1/4 cup frozen strawberries
1 frozen banana
3 tbsp cacao powder

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend till smooth. Enjoy!
