Peanut-Free PB&J Smoothie

This pb&j smoothie is one of my favorites and I think it is about to become one of yours too! This pb&j smoothie is made with cashew butter instead of the classic peanut butter. While I do love the flavor that peanuts bring to the table, I love cashews just as much. Cashews, unlike peanuts, contain Vitamin C and Vitamin K. Vitamin K is an essential vitamin to help improve bone density, regulate blood sugar, help with blood clotting as well as improve heart health. This smoothie also contain raspberries and strawberries which add a great source of fiber, Vitamin C (hello healthier skin!) and a sweet flavor.

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:

8-10 oz of plant based milk
1 serving of plain or vanilla protein powder (I use this one here)
1/3 cup frozen raspberries
1/3 cup frozen strawberries
1 frozen banana
2 tbsp cashew butter
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp hempseeds

Directions: Add all ingredients to a high speed blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy right away.
