End Of The Summer Bucket List
Summer 2021 is coming to a close. As excited as I am for fall season, I am trying to hold onto summer extra longer. Even though I live in the Southwest, I do still enjoy summertime to do’s (even though it is basically summer for most of the year).
I used to live for summertime. Growing up in Boston, I looked forward to summer all year long. There was always so much to look forward to doing like going to the family lake house, boating, day trips to new places, hanging by the pool with friends, staying out late, beach days, etc. But as I am getting older, my summers aren’t like they used to be. In fact, they seem to go by so fast! All of my summer travel seems to get pushed aside due to summer weekend weddings. The other weekends are usually spent doing chores and running errands (who knew that being an adult meant that weekends are full of “okay, what do I need to do today”?).
Summertime should be about fun, freedom and playtime (no playtime is not just for the kiddos). We should be enjoying our summer, and not letting it get away from us just because there is laundry that needs to get done!
I created an end of the summer bucket list below that I am going to be completing. It is a list of 13 fun summer ideas that you can do before summer is over! (does summer officially end after labor day weekend, September 22nd or when it starts feeling cooler?) Feel free to add your own ideas!
